Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation Receives Prestigious Gold Award from IEDC for Grounds for Development

The Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation (BAEDC) is proud to announce that it has been honored with a 2025 Excellence in Economic Development Gold Award from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). The recognition was awarded in the Magazine & Newsletter category for communities with populations between 25,000–200,000 residents.
The award celebrates the BAEDC’s publication, Grounds for Development, a resource designed to showcase Broken Arrow’s demographics, available sites, and retail opportunities. More than just a magazine, Grounds for Development serves as a tool to connect potential investors and businesses with the thriving opportunities available in Broken Arrow, while also telling the story of a community that is vibrant, growing, and full of potential.
Amber Miller, Vice President of Economic Development at the BAEDC, shared:
“We are proud that Grounds for Development has been recognized by IEDC. This magazine is more than just numbers and sites on a page — it’s a way to tell Broken Arrow’s story, highlight opportunities for growth, and ultimately support the businesses and residents who call our community home. This award reflects the impact of sharing our vision for Broken Arrow’s future in a meaningful way.”
IEDC President and CEO Nathan Ohle also praised the BAEDC’s achievement:
“The Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation is leading the field of excellence in economic development with its Grounds for Development project. This award shines a spotlight on The BAEDC’s commitment to its community and showcases the significant impact of economic development.”
The Gold Award will be formally presented at the IEDC 2025 Annual Conference in Detroit, Michigan, September 14–17, where BAEDC representatives James Bell and Amber Miller will be recognized among peers from across the globe.
This honor highlights not only the value of Grounds for Development as a resource but also the BAEDC’s broader mission: to foster growth, support local businesses, and create opportunities that strengthen the Broken Arrow community.
As Broken Arrow continues to grow, the BAEDC remains committed to finding innovative ways to share its story, attract investment, and build a thriving future for residents and businesses alike.
